Moving right along….
So, I’m going to stick it to you now. I’m looking through Went’s career in film and the next thing up is in The Confession as the prisoner named Tom in the short film in 2005. I did find this youtube video of his role though…
This is an unusual and thought-provoking short film. Writer & director - Ash. Cast: Wentworth Miller, Josie Maran and Al Bandiero. So, if you are still with me here, it is very apparent that Went has worked hard to get where he is.
His next appearance in film was also in 2005 was the voice of EDI in Stealth. And, again, I am just not having any luck finding information on these particular films. So, isntead, this shot, I’m giving you some information about him that’s just random. Here goes…
These are just general quotes or facts about him:
A quote: “Nobody’s ever asked me to pay for a meal before I’ve eaten it, I’ve never been pulled over just because I was driving the wrong kind of car in the wrong kind of area at the wrong time of night.”
A quote: “You might look at my CV and see I’ve had 12 jobs, but I’ve been to over 450 auditions so I’ve heard ‘no’ a lot more than I’ve heard ‘yes’. So if I go in looking only to meet my own standards, then that will make taking that rejection a little bit easier. And when I do get that job it will seem like icing on the cake”
A quote: “I made a decision not to work out because I’m lazy and also, the character is not a superhero. I didn’t want him to be a buff guy with Jackie Chan moves because the point is he’s smarter than your average Joe”
And, in my opinion, if he were big and buff, it wouldn’t be near as interesting. The writers of Prison Break have been so doggone smart the way they’ve given Michael so much brain power. I’ll take that any day over big buff and dumb.
And, as enamored as I (and many others) are with Wentworth, he proves with this quote that he is just as easily impressed by folks, “This has been the biggest year of my professional life. I get to “play ball” with incredible character actors. When you’re sharing screen time with Robert Knepper, Wade Williams, or Peter Stormare, you’re just along for the ride. I remember watching Law & Order and thinking that Sam Waterston served up amazing work episode after episode. I told my representation to forget about feature films–if I can get a series, how satisfying will that be? You’re working with people you admire, and you’re on every week being appreciated. It’s like winning the lottery. One in a million”
And, now, my favorite part…it’s photo time…..
